I'm not clear how even adding pictures will significantly improve a Power Point presentation where the speaker is disconnected from the audience and they are simply passive recipients …..or even resistants…to the message being broadcast. Learning comes from interaction and discussion and reflection. The resources available to someone in a room full of people are lost if they just turn up give their power point speech and go, and so, while it might be a nice distraction from just text, I'm not convinced that simply adding pictures makes what is a potential learning opportunity into an actual learning experience.
